One of the biggest environmental problems in the world today is a high carbon footprint, especially in the return of clothing. We invite you to be part of the change and be part of the movement. Conscious consumerism!
Conscious consumerism
(Customers care about how their consumption affects the planet)
The consumer model is constantly changing, with many customers today focusing on what is known as "conscious consumerism". Purchasing practices driven by a commitment to making purchasing decisions that have a positive social, economic and environmental impact. In layman's terms, means that consumers buy into businesses – both large and small – that lead with their moral compasses and do not compromise the well-being of workers, animals or the environment for financial gain.This practice is consistently on the rise.
The effect of returns:
If you decide to return them, your purchases enter the reverse supply chain. They wind their way back through a network of middlemen and dealers and often end up in a landfill.
Their combined transport contributes millions of tons of carbon dioxide into our atmosphere every single year, which is harmful to the environment and our health.
Why do so many returns end up in landfill instead of being sold on?
Quite simply. Returns put a lot of pressure on retailers: they require extra warehouse space and staff to sort them, and they can often only be resold at discounted prices.
After that, less than half of the returns make it back into sales, as it's cheaper and smaller hassle for dealers to send them to an incinerator or landfill. Shockingly, it's more expensive to sell them at a discount to secondary suppliers or liquidation services.
Help us create more awareness about the environment and create a better world for everyone!
If you didn't like the product or maybe the size wasn't quite right ;
Tip:
Here we share some tips about what you can do with your item of clothing. Maybe you spread joy to others and help the environment at the same time:)
1.- You can give the garment to a friend who might be very happy with it.
2.- There are many centers where they receive clothes for people who need them.
3.- There are centers where they receive used clothes and sell them on to use the money to help the disadvantaged.
4.- There are also many shops that receive clothes to be recycled.
Thank you for being part of Conscious Consumerism and doing your part for a better world for now and in the future.
